A movement of young leaders committed to serving their community with integrity and heart.
The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is composed of a group of motivated and ambitious high school students from all around the Santa Barbara and Goleta area.
YLC is an excellent opportunity for students who possess the abilities to work within a group structure to explore, discuss, brainstorm and implement ideas that will have a positive impact on their community. In doing so, YLC instills a sense of pride in areas of academic achievement, community service, leadership skills, self-esteem, and personal development within each member.
“We are youth who lead not for recognition, but for impact. We step up when others need support and step back when someone else’s voice needs to be heard. Our leadership is defined not by titles, but by trust, accountability, and compassion. We strive to be role models and problem-solvers —driven by the desire to leave the community better than how we found it.”
