Standing Together for Safety, Belonging, and Trust

At Santa Barbara PAL (Police Activities League), we believe every young person deserves a safe, welcoming place to grow, explore, and belong. Our mission is rooted in creating spaces where youth feel supported, seen, and inspired through positive mentorship, fun activities, and caring connections with trusted adults, including our dedicated law enforcement partners.

We are proud to serve families from all walks of life, and we’re deeply committed to honoring the unique strengths and stories of everyone who enters our doors. PAL centers are inclusive, compassionate environments where all children and families are valued and uplifted.

A Safe Space for All

PAL is and always will be a safe space. We do not ask for or share information about immigration status. All youth and families are welcome here, and we are here for you regardless of background or circumstance.

Working Together to Support Our Youth

What makes PAL truly unique is our long-standing partnership with local law enforcement. The officers who work with us are more than just mentors; they are trusted role models who care deeply about the well-being of our youth. They show up not just in uniform, but with kindness, dedication, and a true desire to build meaningful relationships.

Together, We Thrive

Whether it’s offering homework help, leading outdoor adventures, or simply being a steady, supportive presence, our staff and officers work together to nurture confidence, connection, and hope in every youth we serve. At PAL, we’re not just running programs, we're building a stronger, more connected community.

We Remain Committed To:

  • Creating physically and emotionally safe spaces for all youth

  • Ensuring equitable access to programs, resources, and support

  • Listening to and partnering with families always with empathy and respect

At PAL, we believe in inclusion, safety, and community. We’re here for every family, every day with open doors and open hearts.

With care from all of us — Staff, Officers, Board Members, and Volunteers
