WINTER WONDERLAND
|
For the past 23 years, the Santa Barbara Police Activities League has been able to assist families in receiving something special for the holiday season. This wonderful tradition supports the most at-need families in our community. Families are identified and referred through partnering community agencies.

Ways to Participate
Adopt - A - Family is an opportunity for individuals, teams, companies and organizations to reach out and lift up those in need, either through direct adoption or financial contribution. Your gift, large or small, makes a difference!
Secret Santa! - Adopt a family: By becoming a Secret Santa, you are committing to purchasing gifts for all children within one family. This is a great option for those who want to purchase individualized gifts!
|
Helpful Elf! - Gift cards to the rescue: As a Helpful Elf, you can provide your adopted family with an additional gift card or simply choose to donate a gift card(s) that will be allocated to a family in need.
|
Red Nose Reindeer! - Financial Sponsor: Help guide us through the stormy night by making a financial contribution! Your contribution will go towards a family gift card or help purchase gifts for a family who was not sponsored.
|
We work with families of all sizes, from single parents or grandparents with one child to large blended families sharing an apartment, so we can accommodate almost any request. When you adopt a family we ask that you provide one age appropriate, unwrapped gift for each child, with a suggested retail price of $30. You choose the family size (some donors provide more and many include something for the adults, but this is not required). Gift cards are also welcome for older children (14-17).
Adopt-a-familyTo sign up, please complete the Google Form above. It's a quick and easy way to provide us with the information we need to match you with a family. Just click on the link, fill in your details, and submit the form. Thank you for joining us in this effort!

What do we need to provide if we adopt a family?
When you adopt a family, we ask you to provide one age appropriate, unwrapped gift for each child, with a suggested retail price of $30. You choose the family size (some donors provide more and many include something for the adults, but this is not required). Gift cards are also welcome for older children (14-17).
Do you have gift card ideas?
Gift cards to local stores are very helpful, especially for teenagers and parents. Some stores to consider include: Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, Old Navy, Blender's, and movie tickets. Retail Visa or MasterCard gift cards can also be purchased at stores such as Rite-Aid, Ralph's, CVS, or other national retailers. Please avoid bank-issued gift cards because of the fees for use and expiration date.
