How Does it Work?

Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need.
Help-Portrait is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more. Locally we have photographed 1,750 since 2011.This event is run 100% by volunteers, all staff, photographers, make-up artists, or photo editors donate their time for this special event. |
It's as simple as 1..2!
1. MAKE APPOINTMENT: Contact PAL as soon as you can, space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome! Appointments are made between 9am-5pm in 15 minute increments. Please make sure you have your schedule for the day, as it may not be possible to make changes to your appointment once it is made.
2. SHOW UP: You will receive a reminder phone one week prior and again the day before. There is a Holiday background, white background, and black background available for your photos. Please plan your attire according to the background of your choice.
